Shoppers on Friday evening at a Midtown wine shop picked up chilled rosé and white blends, noting the $20 ceiling as a personal budget line.
Some store managers said they are leaning on direct relationships with small distributors to keep prices in check. "We have to hunt a little harder, but there are still good finds," said a floor manager at Flatiron Wines on West 21st Street.
