The airport’s dining landscape remains a mix of national chains and a few local names, with options scattered across three terminals.
In Terminal A, Shake Shack and Jersey Mike’s drew steady lines by noon. The newer Bluestone Lane cafe, near gate A16, offered cold brew and avocado toast, drawing commuters looking for lighter fare. At lunchtime, the line at Daily, the market concept, moved slowly as guests picked up pre-made salads and sandwiches.
Terminal B continued to rely on familiar brands. Starbucks and Tony + Benny’s Pizza Parlor saw brisk business, especially as families waited out delays. A handful of smaller kiosks offered grab-and-go snacks, but seating was limited. Travelers noted that some concession stands were shuttered, with Port Authority signage citing renovations.
In Terminal C, the United Airlines stronghold, larger sit-down spots like Saison and Caps Beer Garden served business travelers and international flyers. The CIBO Express Gourmet Market remained a fallback for those with only minutes to spare. Several visitors commented on prices, with a simple sandwich and coffee averaging $18.
As summer travel ramps up, Port Authority officials say more concessions are scheduled to open later this season. Until then, most passengers should expect lines and limited local representation in airport dining.
