HelloFresh has broadened its menu to include over 100 recipes each week, the company confirmed this month. The expanded selection arrives as meal kit services face renewed pressure to retain subscribers during the spring transition, when home cooking habits tend to shift.
The new menu includes dishes that range from vegetarian options to globally inspired entrees. A HelloFresh spokesperson cited increased demand for variety as a factor in the update, noting that customers had expressed fatigue with repetitive offerings. Pricing remains unchanged for the standard two-person plan, which starts at $9.99 per serving.
In Manhattan, delivery couriers reported a steady stream of HelloFresh boxes along residential blocks in Hell’s Kitchen and the Upper East Side on Saturday mornings, where many residents rely on meal kits during the busy end-of-school season.
Industry analysts say the meal kit sector is contending with rising grocery prices and shifting consumer routines. Blue Apron and Sunbasket also introduced new menu features earlier this spring. For customers, the competition means a wider range of choices and more frequent menu updates.
HelloFresh’s expanded lineup is available for orders placed this week, with seasonal recipes highlighting spring produce such as asparagus and peas.
