La Goulue Sur Mer has reopened in Southampton, marking the start of its full summer season. The French restaurant, led by Anthony Punnett, first appeared as a pop-up last summer. This year, it returns with a longer run and an expanded menu.
On Tuesday afternoon, staff were seen preparing the terrace on Jobs Lane. The space, set with white tablecloths and striped umbrellas, is designed for diners arriving from the beach or nearby shops. Lunch service begins at noon, with dinner starting at 5 p.m. Reservations are recommended, according to management.
Punnett said the menu draws on La Goulue's Manhattan flagship, with additions featuring local seafood. Oysters from Peconic Bay and Montauk fluke crudo are among the summer offerings. Prices for appetizers range from $18 to $32, with entrees between $38 and $56.
The restaurant expects weekend crowds, especially as the July 4th holiday approaches. Staff say that Friday and Saturday evenings have already booked up through mid-month. Walk-ins may find seats at the bar, but tables are limited.
La Goulue Sur Mer operates through Labor Day, with plans to close after the September holiday. Management has not confirmed whether the pop-up will return in 2027.
