Several national fast-food and coffee chains are offering limited-time promotions at their New York City outlets for Labor Day. On Monday morning, McDonald's locations in Midtown and Downtown reported steady lines for breakfast meals, with customers using mobile app deals for discounted coffee and sandwiches.
Krispy Kreme stores in Manhattan promoted a buy-one-get-one offer on assorted dozens throughout the day, drawing crowds on 6th Avenue and Fulton Street. At Wingstop in East Harlem, staff confirmed a spike in takeout orders tied to a special on 10-piece wings.
Labor Day remains one of the last major summer holidays before back-to-school routines take hold. Restaurant managers cited a mix of local families and office workers stopping in for quick meals or snacks during the long weekend.
Not all chains participated citywide. Some locations in Queens and Brooklyn limited their deals to online orders or specific menu items. Customers reported checking company websites for updated terms and hours before heading out.
Most deals are expected to end by midnight, with regular pricing resuming on Tuesday. Franchise owners said Monday’s turnout offered a modest boost at the close of a slow summer season.
