The timing coincides with peak summer cooking. Outdoor gatherings are common, and home cooks are stocking up for rooftop barbecues and park picnics. "I ordered new sheet pans and a digital thermometer," said Emily Chang, a Midtown food stylist, as she signed for her package. "It’s hard to ignore the sales when they land right before July 4th."
Some restaurant owners are also taking notice. Jose Linares, who manages a small bistro in Astoria, mentioned buying countertop appliances for his staff’s side projects. He noted that lower prices on commercial-grade utensils have made it easier to upgrade worn-out tools without waiting for wholesale catalogues.
