Early visitors found a short list of whiskey bottles and a single, rotating sandwich on the menu. The space seats around twenty, with a standing rail near the window.
On East 10th Street, Claud’s operators have expanded with a bar focusing on sherry and small plates. Thursday evenings have seen a steady flow of off-duty restaurant staff and neighbors. The wine list currently features less than ten bottles, priced from $48 to $80. A snack of anchovy toast was $12 on Friday.
Uptown, Corima’s partners have introduced their own drinking spot near the original restaurant. The bar’s menu leans on Mexican spirits, with agave-based cocktails and a limited selection of snacks. Seats fill quickly after 6 p.m., especially on Saturdays. The owners say the bar will add a late-night kitchen in the coming weeks.
All three bars share a focus on concise menus and a quieter atmosphere than their parent restaurants. Each has emphasized walk-in service, with no reservations offered so far. As the city shifts into summer, these bars are positioned to attract locals looking for a less crowded place to mark the season’s first warm nights.
